Please contact us in advance to schedule a guided tour for any age (regular admission fees apply). Guided tours for individuals/small groups are available for the same price as admission as long as they are scheduled a week or two in advance. For information on guided tours for camps or school groups or to learn more about our education programs, please visit the programs part of our website.

The Fort St. John North Peace Museum is accessible for walkers and wheelchairs. Guided tours are available for the regular admission price for anyone as long as they are booked five business days in advance and there is availability on the day you want to book. Our tour guides are able to describe our exhibits for those with visual impairments. If you have sensory processing issues, please contact us to discuss quieter times of day to come in. The North Peace Historical Society strives to create a calming atmosphere in the museum and we can ensure that there are minimal people present and no audio running during your tour if contacted in advance.

Have a research inquiry? Visit our archives tab. Please make an appointment with our archives in advance by using the contact information below so we can ensure that someone is available to help you.

Help us preserve and present the history of Fort St. John and the North Peace through collections management, exhibits, archives, and educational initiatives. Visit our page, make a donation, and get a tax receipt!

Want to donate an artefact, photograph, or papers?

Our Acquisitions Committee meets once every few months to decide on new artefacts that we will accept into our collection. When you bring in your artefact, we fill out a temporary receipt. This receipt states that we will care for the artefact in the same way that we care for artefacts in our permanent collection while we make a decision on it. We also fill out a historical summary sheet, which gathers all the information you know about the artefact. This information helps us to make an informed decision.
